Last week, the Under Our Wings team opened their wings to the kids at Texas Children's Hospital for the 5th year. With the help of sponsors and volunteers, we put 1400 books and Valentine's kits in thousands of little hands. This year, the event benefited not just Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, but also the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, Children’s Hospital Colorado, and the Houston Area Women’s Center. Houston Area Women’s Center:
A exciting group of kids at the Houston Area Women’s Center enjoyed a live reading, received their own activity-packed Valentine’s kits, and were visited by mascots from the Avian Kingdom and Taqueria Arandas. The kids also had the opportunity to do their part for hospital by helping us pack some of the Valentine’s kits.

Loaves and Fishes:
With the help of committed and eager volunteers, we were able to feed over 120 hungry bellies at Loaves and Fishes on Saturday, despite the heavy downpour. We were joined by Telemundo Houston.

Texas Children’s Hospital:
Dr. Hoots and the Under Our Wings team met many smiling faces on Tuesday at the Texas Children’s Hospital as we handed out Valentine’s kits and hand-colored Valentine’s cards. The kids enjoyed a reading from the Avian Kingdom book, Neither Night Nor Day.
